Karin Becktor

I thouroghly enjoy working closely with both children, teenagers, and adults. Orthodontics will never be boring to me – after all, it is a profession which offers opportunities to learn continuously and use ever-increasing experience to achieve better and better results. It is a profession which offers continous development and thereby expanded knowledge contributing to better results. Orthodontics represents everything a good work life contains; challenges, inspiration and smiles.

I have 25 years of orthondontic experience from the Danish public dental care system treating both children and teens. I found this extremely exciting, thrilling and challenging. At Becktor’s I have the possibility to treat children, teens and adults with different types of braces including Clear Aligners.

I have previously taught at the School of Dentistry at the University of Copenhagen. For a period of time I was responsible for the Danish Health Authority’s specialist courses for dentists undergoing higher education as orthodontists. Furthermore, I have been a board member in the Danish Orthodontist Society for 6 years, and are now a vocational expert at the Danish Patient Complaints Agency.

My profession as orthodontist has lead to many exciting experiences, and I continue to frequently attend international and national conferences to make sure i’m up to date with the newest research and treatment methods.

Rikke Gry

I am educated as a dental hygienist from the University of Copenhagen, 2002.
I have held different positions as a dental hygienist in both Switzerland, in the Danish public system, and at the Department of Orthodontics, University of Copenhagen.

Since 2007, I have been working at Becktor’s office, where I treat our orthodontic patients in close collaboration with Karin Becktor.
The last 20 years I have been working solely with orthodontics. Orthodontics has become my professional niche, and I find my job exciting, challenging, fun, and stimulating.

Offering the best treatment techniques is of outmost importance to me. To be on the cutting edge and continuing education plays an important role in my professional life. I frequently attend international and national conferences in orthodontics and related fields.

Rikke

Graduated as a dental hygientist from the University of Copenhagen in 1996.

After I graduated, I worked as a dental hygientist for two years in Scwitzerland . Since 1998 I have exclusively worked within the field of orthodontics. I have worked at both private practices and in the public municipal dental care, so I have gathered a great deal of experience and knowledge about orthodontics for children and adults.

I have previously been employed at a medical firm as a CAD/CAM specialst/educater and later as a clinical project manager for an orthodontic software programme. This made it possible for me to gain further experience in the digital development within orthodontics. I’m the clinic’s clear aligner expert. This means we offer both aligners made in-house and aligners ordered from the leading international manufacturers. To stay updated I participate in international and national conferences.
